SUMMA and OECS, through its KIX LAC Center, with the support of the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and IDRC, invite you to the launch of the KIX LAC Knowledge Mobilization ciclye and Community of Practice “Using Evidence in Education”.. This cycle will focus on promoting the culture of using evidence for informed decision making.

The cycle will be conducted virtually, using learning platforms and digital collaboration tools. A series of webinars will be organized where international, regional and national experts will address each of the topics, sharing their knowledge, experiences and best practices.

Invited organizations: OECS, Education.org the Education Endowment Foundation, IDRC, SUMMA, the Ministry of Education of Guyana, the Ministry of Education of El Salvador and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States We look forward to seeing you!!

This first session will explore the importance of the use of evidence in education as a key driver of institutional change. Contents will include understanding the use of evidence, as well as the challenges related to its generation, access and use by educational stakeholders.

On this first day, we will have the presentations of the OECD, Education.org, the Education Endowment Foundation, IDRC and SUMMA.

In this second session, we explore strategies to drive significant improvements in education, using the experiences of Guyana and El Salvador. as case studies. Through the presentation of these experiences we will highlight the importance of the use of evidence in the planning and execution of reforms in the educational system. The main objective is for participants to gain a deep understanding of the experiences of these two countries in using evidence to transform education and to understand how collaboration becomes a fundamental pillar for sharing evidence and achieving improvements in the education system.

This second day will feature presentations by KIX LAC, the Ministry of Education of Guyana, the Ministry of Education of El Salvador and OECS.
