CHAKA

It is a programme that promotes the improvement of educational quality and equity through deep learning. It seeks to promote collaborative learning within the educational communities, among the schools in the network and with its ecosystem.

What do we do?

CHAKA, which means “bridge” in the Aymara language, is a programme created to improve the quality and equity of education, and which promotes deep learning and the integral development of students. It was born from the strategic alliance between Fundación Educacional Luksic and SUMMA. The first stage of the programme is being developed since 2019 until 2024, with five technical-professional establishments in the region of Arica and Parinacota participating. Chaka aims to strengthen teaching and management skills, and promote collaboration within the classroom, institutions, and the CHAKA network. The final goal is to generate a model that can be scaled to other establishments.
