Coalition for Scaled-Up Teacher Professional Development
It seeks to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4, aimed at ensuring inclusive and quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everybody.

What is it?
The Coalition was launched in 2018 as a global programme led by the Digital Learning for Development research network. The Coalition has identified several key issues regarding the status of the teaching profession, which it aims to overcome by promoting quality, equitable and sustainable large-scale ICT-mediated Professional Development with collaboration, research, and implementation support. The International Development Research Centre of Canada together with the UK Department for International Development are funding the initiative. The Information Technology Education and Development Foundation of the Philippines is the administrator.
Project objectives
To support governments and implementers across the Global South in the design, development and deployment of quality, equitable and sustainable [email protected] models.
To support research and knowledge sharing on innovative [email protected] models and adaptation in ways that are effective and appropriate for a wide range of contexts in the Global South.
To contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).
To ensure inclusive, quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for everybody.

PRISA - PANAMA PROGRAMME
It arises from the urgent need to address the educational gaps exacerbated by the pandemic, which have impacted the loss of learning of thousands of Panamanian students. MEDUCA and SUMMA collaborate with professional and technical resources to advance in the policy of learning recovery for the year 2022.

KIX LAC - HUB
The Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Centre (KIX) for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is a space for collaboration and exchange for the innovation of educational leaders from Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

KIX GLOBAL - HONDURAS
The project Adapting and Scaling Approaches to Teacher Professional Development on a scale in Honduras 2020-2022 is part of the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange- GPE-KIX initiative promoted by the Global Partnership for Education and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
EVALUATIONS
SUMMA's evaluation area seeks to rigorously and systematically study the effects and results of educational policies and programmes aimed at improving the quality and equity of the region's educational systems. From an educational justice perspective, the evaluation area deploys diverse methodological strategies, which are both quantitative and qualitative.

LAB-ED SUMMA
Its objective is to identify innovative solutions to address the main educational gaps in the region. In turn, it seeks to strengthen and model educational innovation processes in the region, aimed at guaranteeing the right to education and reducing educational inequalities.

EDU - LAC IMPACT FUND
The Global Fund for the Development of Pilot and Impact Evaluations was born in 2019 from SUMMA's collaboration with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) under the initiative “Building a global ecosystem of evidence for teaching improvement”, funded by the BHP Foundation, as part of its Global Education Equity Programme.

CHAKA - EFFECTIVE PRACTICES PROGRAMME
It is a programme that promotes the improvement of educational quality and equity through deep learning. It seeks to promote collaborative learning within the educational communities, among the schools in the network and with its ecosystem.

CO+INCIDE NETWORK
Latin American platform for collaboration with educational impact. It promotes collaboration among the main actors in the educational world. It aims to develop a virtuous ecosystem of collaboration in research and innovation that accelerates educational improvement in the region.

GEM LAC REPORT
Global Education Monitoring Report (GEM) is an independent, accredited and evidence-based report published by UNESCO. GEM LAC is the Latin American and Caribbean version, prepared by SUMMA in partnership with UNESCO.

NATIONAL R&D&I ECOSYSTEMS
Regional Research on National Ecosystems of Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) in Education is an unprecedented study that, with a cutting-edge methodology of networking, information gathering and systematization, presents the current situation of these ecosystems in eight Latin American countries.

“AVANZANDO JUNTAS” (ADVANCING TOGETHER) NETWORK
The project “Strengthening educational leadership skills to improve the resilience of kindergarten and nursery schools, SLEP Gabriela Mistral” is a SUMMA initiative in collaboration with the Local Public Education Service (SLEP) Gabriela Mistral that seeks to strengthen leadership skills, collaborative work and networking of directors at these educational establishments.
