PRISA Panama Programme

Programme for Integral and Socioemotional Learning Recovery – PRISA is an initiative jointly promoted by SUMMA and the Ministry of Education of Panama, and seeks to strengthen the educational policy of this country in the context of the return to face classes, providing schools and teachers with pedagogical tools that have a solid research evidence base, and that contribute to strengthening the recovery work of weakened or lost learning.

What is it?

Programme for Integral and Socioemotional Learning Recovery (PRISA) Panama

PRISA is a programme that provides the Panamanian educational system with tools that contribute to improving the teaching decisions of teachers and schools in order to make progress in the learning recovery from the beginning of the school year. In addition to the development of pedagogical resources for teachers, the programme develops a teacher training strategy and innovation proposals for schools that emerge from the most successful learning recovery programmes on our continent and in the world.

KIX LAC - HUB

The Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Centre (KIX) for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) is a space for collaboration and exchange for the innovation of educational leaders from Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

KIX GLOBAL - HONDURAS

The project Adapting and Scaling Approaches to Teacher Professional Development on a scale in Honduras 2020-2022 is part of the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange- GPE-KIX initiative promoted by the Global Partnership for Education and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).

EVALUATIONS

SUMMA's evaluation area seeks to rigorously and systematically study the effects and results of educational policies and programmes aimed at improving the quality and equity of the region's educational systems. From an educational justice perspective, the evaluation area deploys diverse methodological strategies, which are both quantitative and qualitative.

LAB-ED SUMMA

Its objective is to identify innovative solutions to address the main educational gaps in the region. In turn, it seeks to strengthen and model educational innovation processes in the region, aimed at guaranteeing the right to education and reducing educational inequalities.

EDU - LAC IMPACT FUND

The Global Fund for the Development of Pilot and Impact Evaluations was born in 2019 from SUMMA's collaboration with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) under the initiative “Building a global ecosystem of evidence for teaching improvement”, funded by the BHP Foundation, as part of its Global Education Equity Programme.

CHAKA - EFFECTIVE PRACTICES PROGRAMME

It is a programme that promotes the improvement of educational quality and equity through deep learning. It seeks to promote collaborative learning within the educational communities, among the schools in the network and with its ecosystem.

CO+INCIDE NETWORK

Latin American platform for collaboration with educational impact. It promotes collaboration among the main actors in the educational world. It aims to develop a virtuous ecosystem of collaboration in research and innovation that accelerates educational improvement in the region.

GEM LAC REPORT

Global Education Monitoring Report (GEM) is an independent, accredited and evidence-based report published by UNESCO. GEM LAC is the Latin American and Caribbean version, prepared by SUMMA in partnership with UNESCO.

NATIONAL R&D&I ECOSYSTEMS

Regional Research on National Ecosystems of Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) in Education is an unprecedented study that, with a cutting-edge methodology of networking, information gathering and systematization, presents the current situation of these ecosystems in eight Latin American countries.
